Timber Drying Complex with T.E.M.
TDK
Bjelovar and Bilogora, Croatia
This production site is an excellent example of integration between wood drying technologies and energy production from renewable sources.
The TDK series drying kilns are equipped with a special module, called T.E.M. (Thermal Energy Modulator), capable of optimizing energy consumption according to the parameters communicated by the power station. In this way, energy resources are distributed to the various processes while also taking the general calculation into consideration.
The complex is made up of 20 drying kilns divided into two groups, dedicated to the drying of hardwoods, softwoods and also heat treatments according to the ISPM15 standard. The plant has an installed capacity of over 6 MWth in the form of superheated water.
The supervision architecture allows rapid intervention on workload management, while process data can be exchanged bidirectionally to support Industry 4.0 functions.
